CHIEF ENGINEER/MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Based in Orlando Florida, you will manage and supervise the Track, Signal and Bridge and Building Department to ensure that the infrastructures under their direction are maintained to provide safe and efficient service to customers.



In your role you will:

Support for the field forces and provide an overview of the track, signal and bridge and building structure for capital improvements and/or possible funding;
Support the companys strategies by insuring that the Track, Signal and Bridge and Building Departments continually achieve the performance expectations set forth or at a minimum constantly shows a measurable improvement toward achieving and/or exceeding the following performance expectations;
Provide periodic inspections in accordance with the Federal Rail Road Association (FRA) and site requirements to meet service needs;
Follow up on required FRA reports and inspections ensuring completion and verifying accuracy in order to comply with FRA regulations;
Develop and direct maintenance and inspection activities of the tracks, signal system, and traffic control to minimize equipment failures and resultant train delays in a cost effective manner with a sense of urgency;
Establish subcontract to maintain signaling, traffic control, track, bridge, building as well as Engineering;
Develop and direct Maintenance of Way (MOW) plans in concert with Quality Assurance;
Direct Department Supervisors and staff on fiscal control, payroll, accounts payable and receivable;
Work with Department Supervisors to identify risk hazards associated with the safe operations of trains;
Provide continuous safety improvement thru a reduction in incident severity and frequency.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:



You hold a Bachelors degree and/or an industrial training in railway operations, safety and regulatory compliance;
You possess a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in a rail maintenance (MOW) environment;
Your supervisory or management experience is important;
Your knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is useful;
Your English communication skills are excellent.
