We are looking for a Locomotive Technical Advisor for our Los Angeles (CA) facility.



You will be required to provide expertise in trouble shooting electrical and mechanical issues with locomotives. You will be required to work with, evaluate and participate with the training necessary to develop the workforce to be a safe/efficient and skilled team. You will provide the necessary coaching, mentoring and hands on training of all employees assigned. You will identify problematic systems/parts to ascertain performance failures using diagnostic and faultfinding techniques. You will also interface with client technical staff to identify technical reliability solutions. You will continually propose improvement to equipment, practices and maintenance programs.



In your role as a Locomotive Technical Advisor, you will:



Provide guidance, support and training to staff on the execution of the maintenance program;
Investigate identified problematic systems / parts to ascertain cause of performance failure and use the diagnostic software to enable the root cause to be identified;
Interface with client technical and facility staff on technical subject;
Support the training group with formal hands-on technical training;
Support the Quality Assurance of the product with technical and compliance audits;
Assist in the development of modifications and equipment testing;
Propose improvement to equipment, practices and maintenance program.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:



A Bachelors degree in Engineering Electrical or Mechanical;
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience working in locomotive areas;
Excellent English communication skills written and spoken, Spanish asset.
