Job Description


SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the field management of the Seattle T&E/OBS Crew Bases and provides administrative support for T&E/OBS operations. Manages crew base staff and OBS extra board personnel. Responds to and addresses employee needs and issues including payroll, attendance, manuals, uniforms and supplies and equipment. Indirect management of Portland, Spokane and Shelby T&E Crew Bases.
• Provide direction to ensure compliance of OBS and T&E personnel with corporate policies and procedures relative to customer service, service recovery, accounting, FDA requirements, safety, uniform and grooming, FRA reporting and time keeping. • Implements processes to ensure quality and consistency of day-to-day operations consistent with business and service objectives; ensures Safety Awareness and Compliance information is communicated to all OBS/T&E employees; ensures proper training for OBS/T&E employees, attendance and testing consistent with service requirements and other items of regulatory compliance. • Coordinate, Prepare and Monitor hiring plans with Transportation, OBS, Budget, HC and CMC managers for OBS/T&E positions. • Supervise employee development, counseling and disciplinary actions.

• Coordinates management of employee standards compliance • Implements Division Safety Plan and ensures compliance • Administers on-board revenue accounting function s including working fund control, meal check distribution, review and submission of trip reports, audit and collection of shortage and overages. • Manages and controls issue of tools and equipment including electronic devices.
EDUCATION: Must have a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Transportation, Management or related field.
WORK EXPERINCE: • Demonstrated experience in related fields including knowledge of territory and services provided • Working knowledge of applicable labor agreements and regulatory requirements: ARASA, ASWC, BLE, TCU UTU Trainmen • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively both orally and in writing within and outside of the organization. • Must be proficient on various PC applications: MS Office, ARROW, AAMPS, EXTRA, eTrax, LMS, TDRS, ACS/SIR/V-Trak, SAP/EIM, Business Objects Reporting, CSPMI, and ASIS. • Must be conversant on the contents of the OBS Crew Base Manual • Must be conversant with APIM and Departmental Policies. • Demonstrate ability working under pressure, executing multiple tasks with tact and composure. • Qualified hearing officer
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience in related fields.
COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
