METHODS TECHNICIAN (MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING)

DESCRIPTION

Based in Plattsburgh, New York, you will determine basic manufacturing concepts, plans and methods for new or revised work.



In your role you will:

Prepare or alter operation sheets by using current methods and standards. Suggest specific product design improvements. Perform make-vs.-buy analyses;
Investigate production delays or difficulties and recommend corrective action as part of the support team for problem solving software. Provide input during cell meetings. Carry out shop liaison and liaison with other departments;
Be responsible for modification in the system and the assembly book management. Provide information and input for the Action Plan for the traveler;
Perform work measurements and standards development under minimum supervision. Analyze items to be produced, determine methods of manufacture, including tooling requirements, sequence of operations, and production equipment requirements. Layout electrical wire harnesses and assemblies. Design tools, fixtures and equipment installations;
Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

You hold an Associates degree in a related field;
You possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility;
You have a good knowledge in mechanics or electrician , you are also able to read and interpret blueprints;
You have a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
You possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience with Catia V5 or AutoCAD;
Your English communication skills (written and spoken) are excellent.
