We are looking for a Radio Frequency Communications Engineer for our Pittsburgh (PA) facility.



You will Implement Radio Frequency communication system designs for projects, proposals, product support and strategic programs for future products with a focus on hardware design, system link budgets and regulatory compliance. You will also ensure the application of the communications system is relevant to Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) solutions for Bombardiers metro and automated people mover systems.



In your role as a Radio Frequency Communications Engineer, you will:



Design communications systems (RF);
Interface with engineers of other disciplines working on train control subsystems for Bombardiers CBTC solutions;
Develop test philosophy for regulatory compliance testing and demonstration for both project and product requirements;
Responsible for schedule-driven deliverable documentation such as Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, test procedures and requirements documents.
Support all deliverable products (including legacy systems) on-site and remote field (from Pittsburgh);
Ensure product development and planning for future generations of communications systems.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:



A Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineer or Physics Engineering. Masters degree in Information Science, Computer Science or Computer Engineering will be preferred;
3 to 5 years of experience in Radio Frequency systems;
Experience in the telecommunications, military, aerospace and rail industries;
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
