Position: Senior Cost/Schedule Engineer – Second Avenue Subway Station Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing & Station Finishes Contract
Project: New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority Capital Construction (MTACC) Program:

On this massive and challenging program, this position will be part of PB’s Construction Consultant Management (CCM) field staff providing:

Program scheduling and progress analysis.
Interface management with the New York City’s Metropolitan Transit Authority Capital Construction (MTACC) Program personnel.
Schedule Claims and Delay Analysis using latest industry recognized methodologies and Primavera scheduling software.
Contractor schedule reviews including review of baseline submissions and monthly progress reports

Reporting to MTACC Second Avenue Subway Program Controls Manager and PB’s Construction Manager. This position will have daily involvement with the Integrated Project Schedule (IPS), as well as detailed working schedules of all aspects of the program work, including interface management with ten active construction contractors; the design contract, and the management teams located along the Second Avenue Subway Phase I alignment, and scheduling analysis of all construction and design forecasts and ‘what-if’ scenarios.
This is a brand new subway line known as Second Avenue Subway (SAS) located in New York City’s upper eastside of Manhattan. The Second Avenue Subway Phase I project extends along Second Avenue from 105th St / 2nd Avenue to 63rd St Station at Lexington Ave. This phase I includes four (4) stations (three new and one upgrade) and approximately two miles of bored tunnel with a forecast operations date of December 2016.


Job Requirements



A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Engineering or Business
At least 15 years of experience on large transit programs with sound understanding of, and demonstrated experience in, Subway Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing systems, and installation of Station Finishes program management with focus on Project Controls and Scheduling.
Must have sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in use of the current Primavera suite of tools for project management, including P6 Version7 and above.
Must have sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in use of earned value methodology for managing large projects/programs.
Must be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with all program management team levels including MTACC and PB CCM.
Extensive experience on Transit railway projects is required.
