This is an opportunity to join our dynamic Colorado operation as the Office Manager for the Denver Office.

Our Colorado operation is one of the largest in the Company with over 500 professionals and the successful candidate will enjoy the full support of corporate and regional management and resources through a committed team environment. This position will report to the Regional Manager for the Mountain Region and will also develop a close working relationship with various Business Line Directors and our Mountain South Central Group Management Team.

Direct responsibilities will include:
Creating and maintaining a team-centered, growth-oriented and entrepreneurial business culture that seeks to identify new business opportunities, anticipates and responds to market and client needs, and builds value for the company, clients, and employees through excellent project execution.

Leading, motivating, and developing a strong, diverse leadership team, and working to verify that the team operates as a single cooperative unit. Strengthening the team by recruiting top industry talent. Encouraging and enabling junior and mid-level employees to ascend to new, challenging, and rewarding positions. Implementing long term succession and monitoring staff development plans for the next generation of leaders.

Establishing key business initiatives with measurable goals and milestones that support the overall region and company strategy. Developing implementation strategies that engage staff at all levels. Uniting the operation under one vision to achieve the desired outcomes.

Preparing office budgets, establishing key metrics, and monitoring performance. Maintaining a healthy office P&L by closely managing and forecasting sales, staffing, utilization, overhead costs, profitability, and cash flow. Effectively balancing profit with the investments required to achieve growth objectives.

Evaluating the performance of department managers on a regular basis and providing direct feedback, counsel, and coaching to continually improve operations. Communicate expectations and hold managers accountable for meeting financial goals and performance metrics - all while maintaining a high level of motivation and morale and building a team-oriented work environment.

Identifying operational issues, developing plans to address these issues, and oversee implementation. Leading risk assessment and management procedures for the local operation and engaging senior management as appropriate.

Conducting project reviews to monitor project performance. Verifying proper project management practices are incorporated and followed. Verifying appropriate quality, safety, and accounting standards are being followed. Verifying appropriate company-wide expertise is leveraged to plan and deliver a successful project. Verifying client satisfaction. Providing guidance and coaching to project teams as needed.

Guiding and empowering ‘support teams’ and committees (e.g., human resources, safety, quality, recruiting, accounting, training, marketing, sustainability, and great place to work - GP2W) to assist in maintaining a balanced and healthy operation and work environment. Verifying that safety and business ethics remain a top priority.

Reviewing and upgrading local operating policies, procedures, and standards that will enable the office to maintain maximum competitive advantage.

Establishing strong industry and outside contacts to maintain a keen awareness of major trends, activities, and requirements within our industries.
