This is an opportunity to lead our dynamic and growing Texas operation as the Regional Manager for the Texas Region. This position is responsible for URS Infrastructure and Environment (IE) operations in Texas and Oklahoma. Provides organizational leadership and direction for the entire region that reasonably balances short-term and long-term objectives, provides for business and personal growth, and furthers the reputation and image of IE as a top-tier provider of engineering and consulting services.

Our Texas growth plan is a top initiative and the successful candidate will enjoy the full support of corporate and their resources through a committed team environment. This position will report to the Mountain South Central Group General Manager and will also develop a close working relationship with various Business Line Directors.

Direct responsibilities will include:
Creating and maintaining a team-centered, growth-oriented and entrepreneurial business culture that seeks to identify new business opportunities, anticipates and responds to market and client needs, and builds value for the company, clients, and employees through excellent project execution.

Leading, motivating, and developing a strong, diverse leadership team, and working to verify that the Region operates as a single cooperative unit.

Establishing key business initiatives with measurable goals and milestones that support the overall company strategy. Uniting the operation under one vision to achieve the desired outcomes.

Establishing key metrics, and monitoring performance. Assure that all Offices are maintaining a healthy P&L by closely managing and forecasting sales, profitability, and cash flow. Effectively balancing profit with the investments required to achieve growth objectives.

Evaluating the performance of office managers on a regular basis and providing direct feedback, counsel, and coaching to continually improve operations. Communicate expectations and hold managers accountable for meeting financial goals and performance metrics - all while maintaining a high level of motivation and morale and building a team-oriented work environment.

Identifying operational issues, developing plans to address these issues, and oversee implementation. Leading risk assessment and management procedures for the Region and engaging senior management as appropriate.

Guiding and empowering the Public and Private Sector Business Line organization in Texas with the goal of maximizing the profitable growth for the Region. Maintaining strong industry and outside contacts to maintain a keen awareness of major trends, activities, and requirements within our industries.

Guiding and empowering ‘support teams’ and committees (e.g., human resources, safety, quality, recruiting, accounting, training, marketing, sustainability, and great place to work - GP2W) to assist in maintaining a balanced and healthy operation and work environment. Verifying that safety and business ethics remain a top priority.
