The AirTrain Agent is responsible for customer service to the public on trains and in stations and for the recovery and retrieval of failed trains, for information and customer assistance, limited mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on in-service trains and fare collection equipment. Agents are also responsible for responding to emergency situations, customer evacuation, crowd control and fare collection activities. Provide a visual presence on the trains in and in stations, so as to support customer safety.

Must be physically capable of performing responsibilities while remaining on feet for long periods of time (up to 2 to 3 hours continuously). Must be able to to carry & lift 50lbs. Work variable hours and shifts. Ability to communicate clearly in english and to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to pass a ten year background check including criminal history and qualify on Work Keys Aptitude Test and have a valid Drivers License, pass a DOT physical that includes alcohol & drug testing. Safety sensitive position subject to random alcohol & drug testing.
