INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL APPLICANTS

DUTIES: The Director Supplier Quality Enforcement is responsible for the development and implementation of the various processes associated with rolling stock warranty in all major Terminal and Backshop operations. In addition this position will work very closely with the Director of Quality Management System to ensure oversight toward applicable Supplier Quality Assurance and Outlying Site Contractor monitoring efforts to maintain performance at the highest levels. Develop and ensures implementation of measurement systems for warranty non-conformance, warranty collection and supplier performance. Evaluates and coordinates component life cycle performance, supplier quality assurance and facility and fleet maintenance activities to optimize material resources. Participates with procurement officers, rolling stock engineering, quality assurance and potential suppliers during initial phases of new product development to determine contract warranty specifics.

EDUCATION: Must have a degree in Engineering or Contract Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.

PREFFERED EDUCATION: ISO and/or AAR Lead Auditor Certification.

WORK EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of QA standards including ISO 9000 and AAR M-1003. Knowledgeable in areas of railway rolling stock maintenance including AAR, FDA, FRA. Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem solving skills. Demonstrated experience in the contractual aspects of procurement, first article inspection and supplier classification audits. Demonstrated experience working with warranty systems, processes, and procedures. Knowledgeable in FRA regulations and their application to rolling stock equipment. Prior satisfactory job performance required.

PREFFERED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of rolling stock equipment inspection process, railway equipment quality and regulatory standards, and terminal operations.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 5 Direct

TRAVEL: 60%
