EHS Coordinator

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, developing, and implementing the Companys EHS&S programs to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations through daily interaction with manager, supervisors and employees., A significant amount of time will be spent in the production areas observing and advising personnel on EHS&S related matters.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
‘*’ denotes an essential function of the job
A. Develops, maintains and implements Safety and Environmental programs all regulatory agencies.
B. Develops EHSS training needs companywide and oversees completion.
C. Manages day to day EHSS functions for Louisville facility.
D. Enters all EHSS data into Invensys Corp DSS system for Louisville.
E. Tracks work related incidents.
F. Reviews OSHA and EPA regulations for changes.
G. Supports Louisvilles day to day EHSS functions.
H. Oversees incident investigations for Louisville
I. Maintains OSHA 300 logs for Louisville.
J. Leads weekly Safety Team meetings in Louisville.
K. Supports HR in Workers Comp. reviews and ensures compliance.
L. Oversees and conducts training related to EHS&S
M. Supports hourly associates with regards to safety programs.
N. Corresponds with outside agencies, such as OSHA, EPA, Marsh, ENSR, local fire departments and safety vendors.
O. Reviews new projects which involve new equipment or changes to equipment.
P. Ensures mandatory Invensys EHSS training is completed company wide.
Q. Participates in daily accountability meetings.
R. Attends Company and industry-related meetings, as required.
S. Establishes individual goals which are aligned with the Companys business strategies and objectives.
T. Functions as a contributing member of the departments team and other teams, as assigned.
U. Performs other duties as assigned by manager
V. Implements and maintains a chemical mgt program including approval of MSDSs, haz com training, and Waste disposal.
W. Implements and maintains a contractor safety program including approving contractors, and performing routine contractor project inspections.
X. Implements and maintains a PPE program that includes identifying the appropriate PPE for job functions, training, and supporting the proper purchase of PPE with the purchasing team
Y. Implements and maintains a comprehensive LOTO program that includes developing LOTO procedures and training
Z. Participates with local emergency response ensuring that there is site preparedness for any crisis
AA. Encourage employee participation through energy and passion for all EHS&S programs
BB. Identify and manage any high risk operations
CC. Develop and implement IH programs including managing consultants for monitoring

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to maintain considerable levels of concentration while working under constant time pressures and constant interruptions.
B. Ability to maintain visual attention including color vision and depth perception.
C. Ability to sometimes lift or carry 10 to 15 pounds.
D. Ability to frequently stand for extended periods of time.
E. Ability to sometimes reach with hands and arms above shoulders, forward and to sides.
F. Ability to sometimes squat, kneel or bend.
G. Ability to sometimes sit for extended periods of time.
H. Ability to sometimes grip, torque, and maintain manual dexterity with the operation of small tools.
I. Ability to sometimes climb a height of up to 8.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
A. This position requires working in the internal and external environment.
B. This position requires exposure to high levels of noise.
C. This position requires exposure to cleaning supply chemicals.
D. This position requires exposure to equipment that has the potential to be dangerous.
E. This position requires working nights, weekends or non-regular hours to meet deadlines. It is a 24-hour on call position for emergencies.
F. This position requires occasional travel.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
A. Advanced degree in a related field.
B. 2 - 5 years experience.
C. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state and federal safety rules and regulations.
D. Understanding of workers compensation and injury management.

EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS
A. Small hand tools.
B. Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and peripherals.
