Job Summary:
Establishes and leads the most progressive hub intermodal facility in the world - specifically CSX Intermodals (CSXI) industry changing facility in Northwest Ohio. Makes the day to day decisions concerning the use of technology and innovative concepts that will create cutting-edge solutions that bring value to our customers and shareholders. Creates the vision, and the facilitys comprehensive operating plan and its impact to over 80% of the companys terminals. Leads CSXI in delivering services that meet or exceed customer expectations in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

* Leadership and accountability for setting policy and processes that lead to safe operation.
* Create the vision and innovative operating plan for a new facility operating model, one which has never been implemented in North America. Provide leadership for the implementation of that vision and plan. Accountable for the development of the innovative operating model that will be deployed in other existing facilities over time.
* Leadership accountability for integrating the facility operating model with our commercial strategy and customer requirements.
* Recruit, train, develop, and oversee performance of a leadership team with the skill sets required to leverage the innovation and technological developments designed into the new operating model.
* Identify and implement infrastructure, technology, and facility requirements that distinguish CSXI as an industry leader.
* Develop and lead the Northwest Ohio hub operating budget and business plans to support continued investments. Allocate fiscal resources appropriately.
* Proactively make contributions at the city, county, and state levels that distinguish CSXI as a strong corporate citizen. Influence in all directions within the organization and community.
* Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree required in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations
* More than 3 years of supervisory experience required

Equivalent Minimum Qualifications:

* Associates degree required in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing/Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations
* More than 7 years of supervisory experience required

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to meeting the above qualifications, the following are preferred:

* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations and more than 7 years of supervisory experience
* Certifications/Licenses: Project Management Professional, Lean Management, or Six Sigma

Knowledge and Skills:

* Knowledge of intermodal hub and network operations
* Knowledge of industry safety policies and practices
* Ability to communicate with a broad range of audiences
* Knowledge of the intermodal customer base and market environment
* Knowledge of terminal operating budget development and execution
* Knowledge of intermodal facility and infrastructure management
* Ability to generate results in a leadership position
* Knowledge of project management, industrial engineering, and continuous process improvement principles and practices
* Ability to demonstrate analytical skills and act as an effective change agent
* Knowledge of mainframe and personal computer (PC) software applications

Job Requirements:

* 5% travel required.
* Wear protective equipment such as welding shields, hard hat, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, work boots, safety vest, face shield and safety glasses.
* Work hours may vary in length and schedule. Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek.
* Work hours may include on call 7 days a week, 24 hours per day, with extended periods of time away from home.
* The applicant selected for this position must successfully complete a background check and drug test. Passing results must be received prior to start date in new position.

Environmental Conditions:

* Work inside an office environment.
* Work outside in all weather conditions.
* Work at elevated heights, in certain instances in excess of 100 feet.
* Work with hazardous materials on an occasional basis.
