POSITION: Sr. Engineer Signal Design DEPARTMENT: Engineering LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA SALARY: USD 81,000 - USD 104,000 POSITION NO.: 90117662 INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL APPLICANTS DUTIES: This position will be responsible for the ACSES (Advance Civil Speed Enforcement System) Design. This will require interaction with consultants as well as Amtrak force account to design and commission the system on the NEC as well as some off corridor PTC. This position will develop estimates for capital projects and will be responsible for the data-input for Configuration Management regarding the ACSES system. EDUCATION: Must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Significant experience in C&S construction/maintenance of railroad signal facilities, or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience. Prefer Masters degree in Engineering or significant experience in C&S construction/maintenance of railroad signal facilities. WORK EXPERIENCE: Railroad signal design experience. Prior satisfactory job performance required. PREFFERED WORK EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience in design preferred and a working knowledge of the ACSES system. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must possess excellent verbal communication skills, must communicate with field personnel to ensure accuracy for commissioning signal systems. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 20 indirect TRAVEL: 25%
